ASRock Timing Configurator

asrock timing configurator

ASRock Timing Configurator is a free Windows utility primarily designed for viewing detailed memory timings on Intel platforms. It shows frequency and Command Rate, the full set of primary/secondary/tertiary timings (tCL, tRCD, tRP, tRAS, tCWL, tRFC, tREFI, tRDRD/tWRWR groups, etc.), as well as trained RTL/IOL values per channel — information that is often unavailable from BIOS or other monitoring tools.

While ATC is mostly a read-only tool, certain 3.x builds allow you to change a subset of timings directly from Windows (this also works on some Chinese X99 boards). On most other boards and/or versions, the utility remains view-only. Any changes made from the OS are applied on the fly and do not persist across reboots. Attempting to tighten timings too aggressively often leads to instability or BSODs.

If your board supports editing in 3.x, proceed in small steps, log your changes, and be ready to roll back via a reboot. For long-term stability, it’s always best to apply your final tweaks directly in the BIOS.

Typically it’s better to try the 3.x branch on X99 and 4.x on Z270/Z370/Z390/X299 and newer chipsets; if you see N/A or empty fields, switch between 3.x and 4.x. Works on Windows 7/8.1/10.
